“You wanna fuck with me? Okay. You wanna play rough? Okay. Say hello to my little friend!”
The classic 1983 movie that, without a doubt still shows relevancy in todays pop culture, has now made a appearance into the fashion world by being the star of Supremes next release.
Directed by Brian De Palma and written by Oliver Stone, the story follows the life of Tony Montana who lets nothing and nobody stand in his way, in order to become Miami’s biggest cocaine drug lord. Now if you haven’t seen this movie… I’m really underselling Al Pacino’s character. The movie is what you’d picture when you think of Miami in terms of fashion and style. Whilst remembering that it is set in a different era (where skinny jeans were not a common thing), it flawlessly presents a real and raw mobster feel. As the plot thickens and a few people get shot, we get to see the characters develop into what could possibly be one of Al Pacino’s best movie.
Now with that being said, it was only a matter of time before Supreme used the movie as inspiration for their upcoming fall collection. What we can expect to see are 4 graphic tee’s, 2 hooded sweatshirts, hockey jersey, a leather jacket, beanie, skateboard decks and a desk lamp. With selected imagery from the movies infamous moments, as well as using the distinct Scarface poster image throughout makes each piece a absolute must have statement piece.
You can find select pieces in store and online on the 12th October.
